Displayed on a small CRT screen, a low-quality video of a dance class from my time living in Canada is altered to produce lingering afterimages. Bodies blur into abstraction, dissolving into one another across frames. The small screen becomes a vessel for how memory distorts and merges over time.

Taken from a video found on my fathers hardrive, we follow a point of view of me showing around our apartment back in Canada. The video traces points of self-identity and questioning where I’m from, as well as physically tracing the path of one of my childhood homes. Displayed on a similar CRT that is displayed in the video, the installation serves as a direct reference in an attempt to recreate a physical object from my childhood home.
