Re-entry status: never dry

64 x 45 inches

inkjet laser prints, liquid latex, fabric, gloss medium

Using the domestic pattern of a bedsheet, sheer fabric is layered with liquid latex. Between these layers are passport-sized photographs of my face, arranged in a uniform grid-like structure. The aged, skin-like surface, still wet, hanging as if “drying” on a clothesline, becomes a reminder of an immigration status that is always present and physically embedded like a second skin. Repetition echoes domestic routines and considers how domesticity operates across different scales of identity formation.
