Wooden lattices finished with a metal patina, trace patterns drawn from the gates of a former home, motifs echoed across Ecuadorian architecture. At its center, the structure holds two images, placed diagonally from one another, of my mother and my father. Around this still core, layers of varied materials encase and preserve these moments, forming small pockets of time and memory. The memories in place slowly age, along with the materials and structures around them.
